Note : Meet at 10.20am for a 10.30am start Meet in the large free The Moor car park, Moor Road, Waterside, Chesham HP5 1NZ (just along from the Chesham outdoor swimming pool complex, and less than 15 minutes walk from Chesham underground station). A 5.25 mile walk initially through the back streets and parks of Chesham then up to Tyler’s Hill via open fields with fine views. Meet at the Full Moon PH, Cholesbury HP5 2UH (if not lunching at the pub please park roadside or use the small car park by the cricket club 100m away). A 6 mile walk from Hawridge to Bellingdon across fields and through Captain's and Ramscoat Woods, passing Hawridge Court and church on return. Free 4 hour parking nearby at Canal Fields, Broadwater turn off, HP4 1HR or park on New Road at the back of the castle. A 5.15 mile walk going through Alpine Meadow Nature Reserve and then over Berkhamsted Common and returning through Frithsden Beaches. Great views over Berkhamsted at the end of the walk. Organised Walks – Cow Common, Oxon (‘Groovers’ – a casual, easy-paced walk)
Meet at the Cow Common car park, on the edge of Ewelme (by the easterly junction of Parson’s Lane and High Street), OX10 6PG. A 5.1 mile undulating walk with 485 ft of ascent and no stiles giving wonderful views of the Chiltern countryside. The walk includes Swincombe Down which has a short fairly steep descent. In Ewelme itself there are some beautiful Alms Houses and the gravestone of Jerome K Jerome in the village churchyard.
