Join us for a tour of Redbournbury Watermill, with 1000 years of milling history, followed by a beautiful summer country stroll.

During the tour you will hear a brief introduction about the Mill on the ground floor, followed by tour on top/second/and first floor to see the machinery and history display. You will also see the process of grain through the Mill and will end with a short stroll to see the waterwheel close up which maybe working depending on recent rainfall.

After the tour you will head off on an easy walk of approx. 3-3.5 miles starting at the mill and offering plenty of views of the River Ver and the surrounding landscape. There will be one climb out of the valley. The walk is being led by Andrew Clark, our volunteer walks leader, and Mel Woods from the Ver Valley Society.  Along the route they will be highlighting the current threat to chalk streams and what the Society & the Ver Valley Society are doing to save them.

Refreshments of tea/coffee and cakes will be served upon your return to the mill (included in the price), you will also have the opportunity to purchase bread and flour from the Mill.

Approx timings as follows:
11am – Tour of mill
11.30am – Walk
1pm – refreshments back at the mill
