Practical conservation is at
the heart of what we do

The Chilterns is a special place and needs constant care to preserve its unique character.

Our ongoing conservation work aims to:

Working in a varied landscape

In addition to the work we do at our own sites & nature reserves, you might also be surprised to know that our volunteers also carry out extensive work in dozens of public areas from commons to copses, and from paths to ponds!

For example…

We have a well established volunteer group that regularly carries out a wide range of conservation tasks in Wendover Woods. We also have a roving conservation group that works around Hertfordshire and another that works on commons in the Chesham & Great Missenden area.
