Celebrate our local heritage and connect with the past
21st September – 6th October

By popular demand, The Chilterns Heritage Festival is returning for its second year! From 21st September – 6th October, we’ll be running a series of exciting events across the region that are designed to celebrate the diverse heritage of the Chilterns. This is a festival of experiences that promises something for everyone to enjoy!

With exclusive visits to iconic Chiltern houses, historical open days, heritage walks and countless other special events, this extraordinary festival will help us learn about our local heritage and open it up to the people who live both within the Chilterns and beyond. The Festival, which will be even bigger and better than last year’s, will bring together historic buildings, museums, landscapes and organisations charged with keeping our heritage alive.

Heritage is not just in the past, it is a living breathing part of everyday life that is just waiting to be discovered and celebrated.

The 2019 Chilterns Heritage Festival is proudly sponsored by

The Chiltern Society is delighted that this year, the Chilterns Heritage Festival will be sponsored by NFU Mutual. The local NFU Mutual office in Hemel Hempstead is committed to helping protect the environment and championing rural communities through events and initiatives such as the Heritage Festival and we would like to thank them for their support.

Festival Programme

Please note that spaces are limited at the majority of our events, so booking is essential except where otherwise specified. All our events are open to everyone, but we offer our members discounted prices. Not a member? Join us to receive the discounted rate.
