Private Tour of John Lewis Partnerships Odney Grounds

14 September at 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm

£7.50 pp

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED

John Spedan Lewis first purchased land in Cookham in 1926, with the revolutionary purpose of creating a country club retreat for the Partners who worked in his busy London shops. Opened to Partners in 1927 as The Odney Club, we invite you to join a walking tour of its grounds (mixed terrain), exploring the history of the Club and it’s beautiful gardens.

The walk will start and finish at The John Lewis Partnership Heritage Centre which is opened to the public, 10am – 4pm every Saturday. You will be able to visit before or after your tour at your leisure. The Heritage Centre opened in 2013 and displays a huge array of the iconic brand’s artefacts and historical memorabilia, including a vast 30,000 piece textile collection.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to access the bar or the restaurant at the Odney Club as it is for members only, but if you wish to bring a picnic, you may enjoy this in the Heritage Centre’s garden.
