Organised Walks – Whipsnade, Beds

Meet at the entrance to the National Trust Dunstable Gateway Centre, Dunstable Road, Whipsnade, Beds LU6 2GY (parking fee of £3.50 for non-Trust members). A 5.25 mile walk with 550 feet of ascent, descending to the foot of the escarpment before a very steep ascent including a flight of steps to eventually pass through the Whipsnade Tree Cathedral and then Whipsnade village, before skirting Kensworth quarry on the return. Great views over the Downs.
