Meet at Little Hay Golf Club car park (free), off Box Lane / B4505, near Bovingdon, HP3 0DT.
A 5.6 mile stile-free walk with 500 ft of ascent. Initially through woodland and across open ground with good views, before descending to the Grand Union Canal at Boxmoor. We proceed along the towpath to Winkwell, and then ascend up through the golf course to return.
Lunch available at various pubs nearby, or at the clubhouse bar.
