Organised Walks – Ashridge House, Herts

Meet at the visitors’ car park of Ashridge House, HP4 1NS (note: not the NT visitor centre).

A 5.8 mile walk around the Ashridge Estate that will take in huge ancient Spanish sweet chestnut trees, a WW2 tree carving made by U.S soldiers, the pretty 14^thC church of Little Gaddesden, and tell-tale signs of Capability Brown’s 18^th century landscaping in Golden Valley. Only 325ft of elevation.

Option for refreshments at the Bakehouse café in the House afterwards, or local pubs close by.
