Organised Walks – Coombe Hill, Bucks

Meet at the National Trust car park (free) at the top of Coombe Hill, Lodge Hill, HP17 0AR (nearest).
Starting on the chalk upland of Coombe Hill we head SE through beech woodland towards Bacombe and then heading in the Wendover direction. En route we take in the HS2 ‘Green Tunnel’ pre-works, pass by Hampden Pond and on to the chalk stream of the disused Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal. Returning via the town high street to join the Ridgeway path and through the conservation areas of Bacombe Hill and Coombe Hill Monument. 5 miles and 650ft total ascent. Numerous lunch options in Wendover.
