Organised Walks – Cowleaze Woods, Oxon/Bucks

Meet at Cowleaze Wood car park (free), Christmas Common Road, (nearest postcode OX49 5HX).

This 5.5-6m mile walk has breath-taking views of the Oxford vale, includes a section of the Icknield Way, passing under Pyrton Hill, with mixed chalk-land scarp vegetation. One (well worth it) down-land descent and one moderate 300 ft climb back up  otherwise fairly flat (500 ft ascent for the whole walk) with a few stiles.
