McAlpine Estate – Fawley Hill Private Railway and Museum Tour

This event is a visit to Fawley Hill which is the country estate of the late Sir William McAlpine, and home to his unique private railway and museum. The visit includes a guided tour and (depending on weather) a short ride behind a diesel locomotive down the 1 in 13 bank.
There is ample car parking but no catering facilities, visitors are welcome to bring a picnic lunch.
This event is not recommended for people with mobility impairments, as the museum and signal box are only accessible by stairs, and the door to the train carriage is too narrow for wheelchair access.
