Whipsnade, Beds (14 May)

Meet at the entrance to the National Trust Dunstable Gateway Centre, Dunstable Road, Whipsnade, Beds LU6 2GY (parking fee of £3.50 for non-Trust members). 

A 5.25 mile walk with 550 feet of ascent,  descending to the foot of the escarpment before a very steep ascent including a flight of steps to eventually pass through the Whipsnade Tree Cathedral and then Whipsnade village, before skirting Kensworth quarry on the return.  

Great views over the Downs and hopefully lots of spring wildflowers.
