Three Rivers Local Plan – the Society’s final response
The Chiltern Society has now submitted its final response on the Three Rivers Local Plan. This follows on from the previous web article setting out our initial comments.
The main concerns are still over the quantity of new development proposed in the Green Belt, particularly at Kings Langley, Rickmansworth, Mill End and Maple Cross.
We are also advocating that there should be a much more pro-active approach to addressing the impacts of climate change and developing nature recovery networks / biodiversity net gain.
The Society will continue to monitor progress on the Local Plan and will be expecting another opportunity to comment on the next version of the Plan sometime in 2022.
The full response can be read here.
