HGV movements to the Chiltern Tunnel North Portal haul road will mean a very significant increase in the level of traffic using the A413. To help ease traffic flow, alterations to the Link Road and Frith Hill junctions with the A413 were planned. The work would have involved the loss of a number of mature trees. Following a local campaign to prevent their removal, amended plans were submitted and no significant vegetation was lost.
