Bowood Lane overbridge & Jones’ Hill Wood
Bowood Lane was to be closed for two years but delays meant that the closure was extended. The lane will be eventually be realigned across the overbridge. PRoW Wen 37/1 – TLE 3/1 will be diverted to the north for the same period and then be reinstated over the bridge. This footpath will serve as a temporary diversion route for the Chiltern Way. Jones’ Hill Wood is a designated ancient woodland and has been partially destroyed. There has been extensive new tree planting on farmland adjacent to Bowood Lane / King’s Lane.
