The downloadable leaflets, further down on this page, are FREE for anyone to use. All we ask is that publishers reprinting any in the Chiltern Society set provide clear credit to the Chiltern Society and note they are strictly NOT for resale.

Prestwood Walk

5.8 miles, with c110m of ascent A moderate walk, with the main climb at the start. Can be muddy in places. Four stiles.

Piddington

7 km (4½ miles), allow 1¾ hours.
Start and finish: Dashwood Arms.

Pegsdon Spring Walk

5 miles. A moderate walk, with c600ft of ascent over its length. No stiles.
There is a more strenuous option which adds an extra 160ft of ascent.

Nettlebed

4 km (2½ miles), allow 1½ hours.
Start and finish: The Old Kiln, Nettlebed Village.

Marsworth Waterside Walk

4.7 miles with 160ft of ascent. There is also a shorter 3 mile option.
An easy waterside walk.

Marlow Common Walk

5.5 miles, with c600ft of ascent.
A moderate walk with some fairly short ascents and descents. It can be muddy in places. Eight stiles.

Little Marlow Walk

Water and Woods Walk: 6 miles (10 km), allow 3 hours.
The Water Walk: 3 miles (5½ km), allow 1½ hours.
Start and finish: Bourne End station, Bucks.

Little Chalfont to Chesham

This 9.7 km (6 mile) walk starts at Chalfont & Latimer station and finishes at Chesham, both on the Metropolitan Line. Several interesting waypoints are all described in the leaflet, including the sites of: a 1st century Roman villa, a 12th century mill and former watercress beds.
There are four stiles and the walk is described as easy with two climbs.

Lacey Green Walk

4.75 miles, with c150m of ascent.
An easy walk with three climbs.

Lacey Green Stile Free Walk

Short walk: 2½ miles (4km), gently undulating circular walk, allow 1½ hours.
Start and finish: Kiln Lane, Lacey Green.
