Organised Walks – Great Missenden, Bucks
Note: Walk starts at 10.30am Meet at Link Road car park (free on Sunday’s / WC’s available), opposite Buryfields rec. ground, Great Missenden, HP16 9AE. A 5.5 mile walk with 350 ft of ascent starting with a steady climb up towards Ballinger Bottom dodging the HS2 works and path closures. From there along to South Heath then back down into and through Great Missenden via St Peter and St Paul Church. Some lovely views and a couple of stiles to traverse. Organised Walks – Ringshall, Bucks (‘Groovers’ – a casual, easy-paced walk)
Park and meet at the large woodland car park, off-road turn-off along Beacon Road (opposite NT cottages), 250 metres in from the Ringshall B4506 junction, HP4 1NE. A lovely 6 mile walk with 520 feet of elevation heading from Ringshall to Ivinghoe Beacon and its tremendous views via Ringshall Coppice and The Coombe. Returning via Duncombe Terrace and the Ashridge Estate. No stiles but one flight of steps to descend. If you have never seen glow worms before, come and witness this magical display of nature's very own fairy lights with expert John Tyler. This event is also taking place on 2nd July.
