Family Bushcraft – Fire Craft & Survival Shelters

Build a survival shelter using just the natural resources from the woodlands and learn exciting fire lighting methods during this Family Bushcraft session.  We will explore methods such as fire by electricity, sparks, flint and steel then blowing a tinder bundle into flame.   This event is aimed at families with children from the age of 7 years upwards.  Sessions are run so that families learn together, with everyone actively involved and parents assisting with their children’s learning.  Please come appropriately dressed…

Tour of Ewelme Watercress Beds

Join us at our historic watercress beds in Ewelme for an afternoon of discovery. Once an active watercress farm selling produce nationwide until 1988, it is now a nature reserve allowing the local wildlife population to thrive. The afternoon will start with an old film explaining the history of the site. A guided tour around the site to view the wildlife will follow. Light refreshments included.
