Chiltern Society Captain’s Wood & Chesham Bois Conservation Volunteers

The Captain’s Wood & Chesham Bois Conservation Group, working in partnership with a number of interested parties and the local parish council is striving to evolve and implement a woodland management plan to enhance this popular common, the heart of the Chesham Bois village to ensure its long term survival as a local amenity and well-loved resource. Chiltern Society Herts Conservation Volunteers

The Hertfordshire Conservation Volunteers are one of the Chiltern Society's 'roving' wildlife conservation groups. We work in West Herts and parts of Bucks and Beds, on the 2nd Wednesday and one Sunday later in each month. Our programme has as much variety, of site, work, and habitat as possible, but with repeat visits to the most worthwhile places. Volunteers have only to work to their own physical limits.  Training, tools & refreshments are provided. New volunteers welcome. Meet at Old Waterworks…

Chiltern Society Kingwood Common Conservation Volunteers

The Kingwood Common Conservation Volunteers meet regularly to maintain and protect this interesting and ecologically important Common. The main task of the group is to restore and maintain the network of open glades that support a wide range of important heathland and acid grassland species.
