Our walks programme

We organise a popular programme of walks throughout the year, designed to improve both physical and mental health. Anyone is welcome to join us on our half-day walks, longer walks or occasional special interest walks.

Unfortunately due to the forthcoming four-week lockdown, we are reluctantly cancelling all our organised walks until at least the beginning of December. Please check back then for more information.

For when the walks restart, please see below when the bookings usually open and close:

Sunday Walks - Registration will open at 3pm on the Friday of the week prior to the walk and will close on the Friday before the walk at midday.

Wednesday Walks - Registration for both 'Groovers' and 'Movers' groups will open at 3pm on the previous Wednesday and close at midday on the day before (Tuesday).

In the meantime the ‘Love Walking’ section of our website has plenty of walk routes for you to download in both pdf print version or on ViewRanger.

There are also hundreds of Free Walks Leaflets with Social Distance (SD) Friendly Walks that you can enjoy over the coming weeks.

These walks are open to all members.  Non-members are welcome to join us as guests for two or three walks, though if you walk with the group regularly you will be expected to join the Chiltern Society to support our work in caring for the Chilterns.  Join here.

If you’re interested in becoming a walks leader please contact our Walks Coordinator Paul Cooke, on 01494 778024, or email him here.
