Our walks programme
The planning of our organised walks are constantly revised and adjusted to reflect current Covid-19 controls and constraints that are in place and we are delighted that our walks programme has recommenced.
We organise a popular programme of regular weekly walks throughout the year, designed to improve both physical and mental health and available to members as well as guests.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we are limiting numbers on each walk, including the walk leader. Our organised walks are permitted under, and comply fully, with the latest government regulations. To participate on a walk, places must be booked prior to the walk during the registration window using the online booking system embedded in the details for each walk.
Sunday Walks - Registration will open at 3pm on the Friday of the week prior to the walk and will close on the Friday before the walk at midday.
Wednesday Walks - Registration for both 'Groovers' and 'Movers' groups will open at 3pm on the previous Wednesday and close at midday on the day before (Tuesday).
We all need to take extra steps to stay safe. Please follow safety advice given by the walk leader, including the latest guidelines on physical distancing. You are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear for the conditions. Bring your own food and plenty of water, avoid car sharing, and you are strongly urged to bring your own alcohol based hand sanitiser and you must carry a face covering.
If after attending a walk you develop COVID-19 symptoms within 48 hours of the walk and then test positive for Covid, you must let us know by contacting the Office. To allow for track and trace, all walk participant details will be kept for 21 days after the walk date before deletion.
