Bledlow Ridge Heritage Trail Walk
13 April at 10:30 am until 12:30 pm
A brand new heritage trail has been created as part of a circular walk around the historic monuments of Bledlow Ridge. Generously supported by Lord Carrington and funded by the Farming in Protected Landscaped Initiative, this trail takes in the newly restored Bledlow Cross, the Bledlow barrow mound and a walk through Thickthorne Wood.
Expect around 2 hours (approx. 4kms) of beautiful countryside and discussion about regional archaeology with the Chilterns Conservation Board’ own Heritage & Archaeology Manager, Dr Wendy Morrison.
Start and end at the wonderful Lions of Bledlow pub, where you may stay on for lunch and refreshment (not included in the event and prior booking is advisable).
Walk is around 4k with some steep slopes!
Parking available in Lions of Bledlow car park, no charge.
Suitable for children over 12 (able to walk the distance).
