Meet at the Recreation Ground car park, off the junction of Hollybush Lane and Friendless Lane, Flamstead, AL3 8DE (nearest).
A 6 mile walk down to the Ver Valley via a tree nursery and along the route of a Roman road to the outskirts of Markyate. We continue along the Hertfordshire Way to Trowley Bottom before returning to the village and car park. Total ascent 300ft.
Lunch available at the nearby village pubs.
