Meet outside Frieth Village Hall, (ample free car parking), RG9 6PR, for a classic and v. popular Hambleden Valley walk, taking in 3 picturesque villages with their local pubs, and an Iconic windmill.
Going anti-clockwise down the steep hill to Fingest, then on through Turville and Skirmett, before a stiff climb back to Frieth. 8.6 km/ 5.5 miles and 220 metres of ascent. Mostly flint tracks, but the slope to Fingest is grassy and may be slippery. Lunch available at The Yew Tree in Frieth (pre-booking advised), or old-fashioned simple pub refreshments 2 mins drive away at The Prince Albert, Fingest Road.
