Butties, Birds and Beautiful Views from the Alford Arms

19 October at 9:30 am until 1:00 pm

Suggested minimum donation £5 (to be split between St Francis Hospice and the Chiltern Society)

Join Becky Salisbury of the Alford Arms and Andrew Clark, Chiltern Society Walks Designer, for a bacon butty and cuppa (on the house) at the pub, before venturing out into the lovely Gade Valley. The 4.75 mile walk starts out along a Roman road, passes a Buddhist monastery and goes through the water meadows beside the River Gade. Along the Way, as well as outstanding views over the valley, there will be opportunities to spot local wildlife. We’ll be back in time to enjoy a delicious lunch and/or drink at the pub if you wish to.

There are 4 hills, one of which is short and steep.
