Organised Walks – Studham, Beds

Note : the walk starts at 10.30am (meet up at 10.20am) Meet opposite the Red Lion PH, Church Lane, Studham, LU6 2QA. Park opposite the green or road-side by the pub (not in the pub car park). The 5-mile walk goes round Studham parish and is fairly flat, no stiles, shouldn’t be muddy, and you may see a wallaby at Whipsnade Zoo. Spring History Walk – Watlington Hill

Watlington Hill NT Car Park

Join Tim Horton, a former Lecturer and speaker, for a history (and some flora and fauna) walk on Watlington Hill. Tim will discuss many special features for wildlife of this famous 'outrider' to the Chilterns. He will also take up the hill's place in history for observation and the role of ancient tracts that have criss-crossed the area, especially since Saxon times. A special feature will be Watlington Park, nestling among the trees and loved by D.H. Lawrence and Alice Keppel.
