Storytelling in the Woods (Morning Session)
£1 – £5
Join us for a morning at our famous ancient woodland, Bottom Wood, with renowned children’s storyteller Jane Lambourne.
The event will begin with a walk to our beautiful woodland clearing where you can sit on logs and enjoy the stunning natural environment around you. The children will then settle down to hear Jane’s very own tales from the trees, folk tales and animal sorties before enjoying a nature-based scavenger hunt followed by a picnic lunch (which you’ll bring with you).
Jane naturally first discovered storytelling outside, in the woods, and found it was a wonderful way to captivate an audience and engage people’s imagination. From her first encounter with storytellers over 20 years ago Jane never forgot the stories she heard and has been telling those tales ever since, gradually building up a wide repertoire of traditional stories to share. Jane’s love and knowledge of the natural world combined with her skills as a storyteller enable her to deliver exciting and educational outdoor experiences.
Suitable for the whole family. Children must be accompanied by an adult, please book tickets below.
