Private Tour of John Lewis Partnerships Odney Grounds

September 26 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
£5.00

The first land in Cookham was purchased by John Spedan Lewis in 1926, with the revolutionary purpose of creating a country club retreat for the Partners that worked in his busy London shops. Opened to Partners in 1927 as The Odney Club, we invite you to join us on a walking tour of its grounds, exploring the history of the Club and its beautiful gardens.

The tour will finish at the John Lewis Partnership Heritage Centre. Due to Covid-19, the Heritage Centre does not plan to open to the public at this time but this is under constant review. Opened in 2013, the Centre displays a huge array of the iconic brand’s artefacts and historical memorabilia, including a vast 30,000 piece textile collection.

Unfortunately we are unable to access the bar or the restaurant at the Odney Club as it is for members only.

All events will comply with government guidelines on Covid-19, applicable at the time.  If any Covid-19 outbreaks occur, or new restrictions are imposed, the event will be cancelled and a full refund given.

AN ADDITIONAL MORNING TOUR HAS ARRANGED DUE TO THE POPULARITY OF THIS EVENT, press here to book.
