The brand new National Paralympic Heritage Centre in Stoke Mandeville is the first of its kind bringing together the history of the Paralympics. On this exclusive tour you will learn more about the Pioneer behind the games Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann and the unique involvement of the British Public in the development of the games.

This event will also form part of the Trust’s Sporting Heritage Day celebrations.

During the event you will:

  • Hear a brief presentation from a member of the NPHT team on Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann the pioneer behind the Paralympic Games and the role of Stoke Mandeville in the story of the Paralympics.
  • Enjoy a tour of the famous Stoke Mandeville Stadium including points of interest.
  • Be shown around the first ever Paralympic Heritage Centre.
  • Meet a Paralympian.
