Join us on this fascinating talk and tour of the historic 25ft. high iron and gilt Indian temple-style well with winding gear. A gift from the Maharaja of Benares to supply fresh water for the poor villagers of Stoke Row. The well was built in 1863 with gardens and orchard park and warden’s cottage.
Tea, coffee and cake is included in the price.
- Toilets will be available at the village hall including disabled access
- There is disabled access to the hall and to the well but wheelchair users may struggle with the Well Orchard which has rough cut grass paths
