After a successful event in January, we are pleased to invite you to the second in a series of updates, showing the impact as construction continues.
Construction of HS2 across the Chilterns is now well under way. Using a mixture of maps, pictures, visualisations and, most importantly, aerial photographs this talk will show the impact at a number of locations across the Colne Valley Regional Park and the Chilterns.
The talk will last for about 60 minutes with plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Keith Hoffmeister has been photographing the route ever since the plans were first revealed in 2010. He covered the whole route from Euston to Birmingham and published a DVD in 2012 as part of the Stop HS2 campaign. He was also instrumental in establishing the HS2 Photo Diary which was recently launched on the Society’s website.
There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the presentation which Keith will be more than happy to answer – please can you make sure that you keep the questions brief so that everyone has an opportunity to get involved.

- If you are unable to attend the event, please call us 01494 771250 or email office@chilternsociety.org.uk in the first instance.
- Our events have minimum capacity requirement that need to be met to ensure they are viable to run. We reserve the right to cancel at short notice should an event not reach minimum capacity. In the case of events being cancelled or rescheduled a full refund or ticket transfer will be offered.
- In the instance of inclement weather, we will notify you in advance if the event is going to be cancelled. You will be given the opportunity to attend on another date if we have been able to reschedule the event. If you’re unable to attend the newly arranged date, or if no alternative date can be offered, a full refund will be granted.
- The Chiltern Society does not offer refunds on bookings should you become unable to attend an event.
