SORRY – THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
We’re giving our supporters a rare opportunity to enjoy a special day out at the Wormsley Estate on Sunday 17th September.
Owned by the Getty Family, Wormsley is a beautiful 18th century Estate nestled in the heart of the Chiltern Hills. The 2,700-acre Estate was acquired by the late Sir Paul Getty in 1986. Sir Paul embarked on a comprehensive restoration project across the buildings, gardens and surrounding landscape, which succeeded in preserving Wormsley as a magnificent example of an English country estate.
Guests will enjoy the following programme of activities:
- Arrive from 11am onwards to watch some cricket at the iconic Wormsley cricket ground. You can bring a picnic lunch with you to enjoy whilst you soak up the stunning surroundings.
- At 1:15pm, you will be escorted to the Estate’s Deer Park for a tour of the Garsington Opera Pavilion, Home Farm Garden and the Island Pavilion. Designed by architect Robin Snell, the award winning Opera and Island Pavilions offer stunning views across the lake, Deer Park and the woods and hills beyond.
- At 2:00pm, guests will board a shuttle bus which will take us to the Estate’s beautiful Walled Garden where we will meet the Head Gardener and enjoy a tour. You can even enjoy a spot of croquet if you wish!
- At 3:00pm the shuttle will escort us back to the cricket ground where you can continue to enjoy the match and depart when you’re ready.
