SORRY – THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
The Chiltern Open Air Museum is home to over 30 rescued historic buildings including a 1940s Prefab, Victorian Toll House, Blacksmith’s Forge, Iron Age Roundhouse and Victorian Farm. It was founded by volunteers in 1976, and opened to the public in 1981. The Museum is a charity that rescues threatened historic buildings, which would otherwise be demolished, re-erects and preserves them in a traditional Chilterns landscape.
This private tour will focus on straw and its uses. You will see straw used in a variety of ways, from the stooks of harvested corn, bedding for our lovely goats, thatching material and examples of the skilled craft of straw plaiting.
All events will comply with government guidelines on Covid-19, applicable at the time. If any Covid-19 outbreaks occur, or new restrictions are imposed, the event will be cancelled and a full refund given.Book Now
