Celebration of the Chilterns – St Mary’s Church, Drayton Beauchamp

The 2021 Chiltern Heritage Festival finishes with a wild harvest festival at St Mary’s church Drayton Beauchamp. Celebrating all the fruits of the hedgerows, trees, fields, gardens and farms that we gather through the seasons. From elderflowers for cordial to rose hips for syrup. From mushrooms to cherries, damsons to blackberries. The jams, jellies, chutneys, wines and infusions for gins. And the magnificent wild flowers and the creatures they sustain.
Aldbury Morris Men will join the celebration followed by refreshments with local beer and cider. Donations in lieu of charge.
St Mary’s is a beautiful ancient church set in a sheep field beside the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
There is ample parking in the field. A portaloo is available. Please note that works are being carried out around the church, but access remains including for wheelchairs.
